Bishops, Priest & Deacons, State Families and Membership,
My Brothers and Sisters in Christ, greetings and blessings,
Today we are in the perfect place to reach out to many, looking for a solution to the problems of the day. Most men are looking for a great connection with other families, and other like-minded men.
In July, I had the privilege of speaking to and about the border problem in the southern part of the United States. Neither Party will be able to solve this problem and neither candidate in the future as well. Only God can provide us with the security we need at this point in history. God knows what we need and if we pray, fast and trust in God all things are possible.
The reason I start there today is that we can do some much good by presenting the Knights as an activity of doing something for the greater good that overcome the devil’s lie that we are helpless to the problems of today or tomorrow. Activity of Charity, activity of unity and activities of social good will always be and should always be the answer.
Many families are struggling to pay the increases for groceries and gas prices which are not making it easy to do all the things families need to do. So as the family asks themselves, “what can I do?” and “how can I survive?” if we as Knights are doing programs that encourage them and include them it will help.
As school is starting soon, doing a backpack drive or a school picnic for the schools open house will make them aware that we appreciate their efforts to keep their families Catholic.
The Knights have announced some new enhancements to the family and member benefits this July that we are excited to share with all of you. You will be getting called by your agent to meet and explain these wonderful new ways the Knights of Columbus insurance is looking to support and provide better beneficial member benefits in the coming years. They will be great to share with you. I will be discussing them as well on the Fraternal Benefit events in the coming months as well.
As you all get ready for the changing out of summer, know that we are praying for you and hoping for a great season of Eucharistic renewal.
Vivat Jesus,
Tim Nowak, General Agent
